A few weeks ago, I went on a school trip with my school. We visited a few museums while we were away, so we had to spend a few nights at a hotel. It was bound to be just another boring experience, but this time that was not the case.
When we got back to the hotel on the first night, I met Nicole who was from another school that was visiting the same museums as us. She introduced me to some of her friends and we got along pretty good, so we decided to meet again in the morning. After a couple of hours I went back to my room and got ready for bed. It was almost midnight, and as I was brushing my teeth in the bathroom I could hear some girls laughing, so I put my ear against the wall and listened. It sounded like Nicole and her friends giggling and talking. I assumed it was just some gossip about other girls or something and decided to go to sleep.
The following day, when I met up with Nicole and the crew, I asked her about the previous night. She said they were playing the ‘Bloody Mary’ truth or dare game. ‘It’s just like playing truth or dare (by spinning a bottle), but with a twist’ she said. Basically if you chose truth you’d have to admit that you’re scared of Bloody Mary, otherwise you would be dared to grab the lantern and say ‘Bloody Mary’ three times while staring at yourself in the mirror with the lights off. It is said that if you complete those steps, Bloody Mary will come and take your soul. Another rule was to record yourself with a camera or a phone to prove that you were looking straight in the mirror while doing the so called ritual. I laughed about it, and asked if I could join and they said I could come to her room around midnight and play with them.
After another exhausting museum tour, it was finally time for the game. I changed clothes as fast as I could and rushed to Nicole’s room. After a few turns and scaring some of the girls, it was my turn to take the lantern to the bathroom. I slowly said the name twice without any hesitation. However, when I was about to say it the third time, a cold chill went down my spine and I almost turned on the light; but then I heard Nicole calling me a chicken, and I just shouted ‘Bloody Mary’ as loud as I could. To nobody’s surprise, nothing happened and we just carried on with the game before going to sleep.
Two days has passed since that night, and now I gathered my friends at my house to play the game. Some of my friends are pretty scared but they’re too proud to admit it. I think we’re going to hear some screams tonight.
I am first and I wonder if somebody will try to scare me. I enter the bathroom and turn off the lights and proceed to say the name three times. After a few seconds I hear my friend shouting that they didn’t hear the third time, so I just say it again three times. During that moment of silence, I notice a figure behind the shower curtains. It looks a bit like my sister; I bet she’s trying to scare me.
The girls waited about five minutes before deciding to go in to check on their friend. They turned on the light and she wasn’t there, but the window was opened so they all laughed and thought she ran away to scare them. Her sister picked up the phone and watched the recording, after the sixth ‘Bloody Mary’, a dark silhouette of a girl could be seen getting closer to the mirror. As she got closer dark red tear like marks could be seen on her face and a couple of seconds later the phone just turned itself off and so did the lights…

It does’nt work. I have tried it over and over, and nothing happens. It only creepes me out because i think that something will happen. As a story, it is creepy but as a TRUE story, it isn’t. =(
Thateth a goodeth ideaeth creepypastaeth, immaeth doeth thateth.
“I went on a school trip with my school” You don’t say?
I remember playing “Bloody Mary” when I was about 10 or 11. I rate this story 3/5 just for reminding me of the game 😛
“I enter the bathroom and turn off the lights and proceed to say the name three times.”
“…after the sixth ‘Bloody Mary’, a dark silhouette of a girl could be seen getting closer to the mirror. As she got closer dark red tear like marks could be seen on her face and a couple of seconds later the phone just turned itself off and so did the lights…”
You know you’re in trouble when the lights turn off the second time. That there’s advanced darkness.
I feel like this was well writen regardless of whether or not this is real or fake. It still gave me the creeps when I read it. Good job.
There were some flaws in the wording, and the sudden switch from first person to third person made it a little obvious as to what happened, I think it could use a rewrite just to touch up some flaws and this could be very creepy
So I played. This fun bloody Mary game… And the lights turned off a second time the lantern. Didn’t it’s just the lights that were off.
Naaaaaaah niggs
Bloody Mary gets this person.
I liked the story, but it could’ve used more suspense. It didn’t really jump out as unique. Though the twist on the truth or dare game was pretty cool.
I thought you had to say it three times how depressing >:(
I did not like the sudden switch of first person to third, it was abrupt.
The story could’ve used more details and development, it was somewhat fast paced to me.
I’ll give you some credit though, I did like the twist of truth or dare.
That was just amazing it sent shivers down my spine
A bit of a mindfuck if I may say so. ” I went on a school trip with my school.” You don’t say? Also, right at the end it says the lights were turned off, then says later that the lights proceeded to turn off again. I would call that double darkness, but for that I rate it 5/10 breads.

It wasn’t written very well. It was like third person, and narrator. Made me confused.
I remember when I was younger my friends and I would mess around with this….nothing ever happened…still had that creepy feeling in the back of my mind doing it though.
I liked the story all tho I do wish it was longer.
3spooky5me……. doot doot
They waited five minutes to check on their friend when they found her she was taking a shit.
I believed she was real but when I grow up I stop being scared and I looked her up
I know shit you have to go deep in the internet to know 😛
10/10
Wow 10/10 Great Pasta
That was Ok… But we all know its fake, Thats the Killer. (Haha, pun intended) We all have tried it and know its fake. Ill give it 3/5. Its ok.\
This story was fairly okay, I wouldn’t say scary a bit creepy maybe, I remember playing Bloody Mary with my friends it was fun. But it could’ve had a little more suspense and story, I rate it 3/5 it was okay :>
First thing I say when I play the bloody mary game: “this isn’t your average everyday darkness, this is ADVANCED darkness.
omg

Booooooooooooooring
Nice but cliche
I feel like the ending was worded a bit awkwardly but it’s still pretty good, Bloody Mary is a classic horror story challenge but at least this has a little twist of Truth and Dare with it
